How to: Wear a Crop Top

Crop tops are everywhere this season! When worn correctly, they are fun and flattering, but this is definitely a tricky trend to pull off. Crop tops often bring to mind the 90s and a fully exposed stomach. If you’re anything like me, the thought of walking around with a fully exposed stomach is frightening. But, what if there was a way to rock the crop top and not have to suck in? Well, here you have it. We have done our research and here’s the flawless way to join the fashion trend and wear that crop top all season long.

Problem #1: Stomach Exposure

Solution: High waisted pants, shorts or skirts. Instead of full midriff exposure, you just show a sliver of skin.

Problem #2: Tight crop top

Solution: Try a boxier crop top which won’t hug your skin. The flowy feel will surely give you a confidence boost!

Problem #3: What is the right length?

Solution: Crop tops come in all lengths. Looking to hide your stomach? Opt for a longer cut. Looking to flaunt those abs? Find a top that hits right above your belly button.

Problem #4: Is it too much?

Solution: The crop top is a balancing act. If you expose your stomach, make sure other parts of the outfit are less revealing. Try a maxi skirt or high waisted shorts.
